For sometime now I've thought of starting a Blog for those thoughts I'd like to throw out there - but don't feel are appropriate for Facebook or elsewhere.

I am calling this The View From Here - because at over 50 I've seen lots of things.

Today my thoughts are on Death - in the past two months I have lost five customers to death, as well as my friend's mother-in-law.  My question is, are you living your life - so when your time comes - you have no question in your mind Where You Are Going?

People around here will say at least two of my customers "got what they deserved".  One had a relatively long time to prepare - knowing he had cancer, while the two mentioned above "went quick" - one didn't wake up, while the other was in and out of the hospital the past month.  Two others were older, it wasn't unexpected. . . and yet my question remains - did they know where they were going?

This is fresh on my mind, as one of these died last night, another one's funeral is today.

The Bible is so clear - Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved - and yet believing - is so hard.  Are you willing to admit you are a sinner?  Romans says All have Sinned and Fall short. . .  It also says the Wages of Sin is Death - eternal separation for God - Hell!  Isaiah says all our righteousness is as filthy rags - (a more graphic, but accurate, description would be used Kotex pads) - no matter how hard I try - I can't be good enough.  BUT . . . Jesus was sinless, He paid the price for me - He was willing to come to earth, to live as a human, to be tested and tried and to die on a cross - humiliated beyond belief, - but worse separated from God the Father, - the story doesn't end there though.  He ROSE AGAIN - he was resurrected - and now sits at the Right Hand of God the Father - saying - that person accepted me as his/her Savior - I died for them - my death took their penalty - all they had to do was accept it for themselves.  My name is written in the his Book - Is Yours?
